01.
Whether your goal is to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, improve self-confidence, heal the residual impacts of trauma, more effectively manage anxiety or depression, or navigate your way through life changes, I look forward to working together to move you towards a place of increased contentment, emotional security, and confidence in your ability to cope with what life brings you. My approach is collaborative and conversational; my clients have described our sessions as warm, empowering, insightful, and connective.
02.
Experience therapy from a new perspective with walk and talk therapy. We spend your session walking a defined path in nature while processing your emotions and experiences. These sessions can offer increased connection to your body, improved mood, reduced intrusive and ruminative thoughts, and reduced stress. It may also feel easier to verbalize and process complex emotions while walking. This unique approach combines the health benefits of nature and movement with the support of therapy for a refreshing and holistic experience.
03.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized, evidenced based treatment modality for processing traumatic experiences and chronic distressing thoughts and feelings. Trauma impacts our neural pathways, often causing a "stuck" feeling or a frequent re-experiencing of a painful emotion. EMDR facilitates an adaptive processing of these experiences and thoughts through the use of bilateral stimulation, leading to the development of new neural pathways and increased symptom relief.
